21 Jun 2008 - Boundary Walk completed

The walk around the boundary of the parish of St martin of Tours with St Cuthbert's was started by the brave eight in fine weather. Although overcast and rain forecast, we made good time walking through Linthorpe and West Lane and the outskirts of the town centre. We walked through industrial Teesside old and new and then reached the banks of the river for our first sit. As can be seen, the vicar had forgotten to use his Lynx before setting off.

We arrived at St Cuthbert's, some say the  middle point of the walk and the rain started (just like last year). Unfortunately the refreshments planned didnt happen, so the waterproofs were put on and we continued walking.

The vicar maybe knew a bit more about the weather than we did as he decided to practise his fishing (without his fishing rod )whilst sitting on the kerb.

Wet and some weary, and three and a half hours later, the walk was completed and the church door hid a welcome hot drink and piece of cake

Trevors training continues as the Vicar explains  to him how to wash up and dry afterwards.

Trevor kindly made tea and coffee to go with cakes provided by Sylvia, Doreen and Jennie for the weary, wet walkers.

Thanks to all who helped in any way.
